With a background in filmmaking, my job is to approach your wedding like I would a film – balancing between the director and a fly-on-the-wall approach. My primary focus is on documenting all of the emotions in the room, that way in the end you get photos that reflect how the day felt, and not just what your shoes looked like.

Maya was the backbone of the behind the scenes for Sam and I’d micro wedding. She was flexible, hilarious, and made us feel like we’ve been friends all along as we spent the whole day together hiking Cathedral Rock for photos and Lover’s Knoll for our ceremony in Sedona. Maya is a true joy to work with, she takes the awkwardness out of taking photos...she is your hype person during the session truly making you feel like magic is being captured. As a disabled bride, it was important for me to work with someone who understood. At our engagement session I suggest taking photos with my mobility device, which wasn't a discussion beforehand.
